At Arden’s, our aim is to make life more delicious. We are a family of foodies who love great food and have travelled the continent to bring you irresistible nibbles that will delight and satisfy your taste buds.

Our story began in 1991 when our founders Tim and Derek set up their small (and rather damp) office in Tim’s back garden. Keen to find the perfect partner for their authentic Italian coffee, they set off on a journey to find the very best baked goods Europe could offer. Their discoveries were an instant hit and Arden’s love of fine snacks was born.

From these humble beginnings, Arden’s has grown into the happy family of foodies we are today, seeking out unsung baking geniuses across Europe and sharing their gourmet goods with the lovely people of Britain. We’re proud that our products are gaining a great reputation amongst retailers big and small, but we’ll never stop being adventurous and bringing you authentic munchies ram-packed with flavour!

We believe that great food tastes even better when it’s made with love, so we endeavour to keep everyone happy – from our suppliers in Europe to the merry bunch at Arden’s HQ. You could say we’ve got our very own recipe for a happy workforce!

An open door – so everyone can contribute their ideas
Rolled-up sleeves – everyone gets stuck in, whether it’s packing boxes or heading off to Europe to meet with our lovely suppliers
Work and Life – always balanced with a good measure of fun thrown in!
Imagination – lots of this lovely stuff
Happy snacking and overindulgent taste testing
– nigh on impossible to resist when you’re surrounded by our products!
Fun nights out – otherwise known as Gary’s annual BBQ

We like to think of ourselves as jolly nice people, and we are all more than aware of how lucky we are. So, every year, we promise to make a chunky donation to good causes. And besides which, raising money is good fun (it’s also a great excuse to dress up and get together). Even the family pets get roped in to help out.

Our chosen charity is Zoё’s Place, based in Coventry. One of the only baby specific Hospices in the UK, they do amazing work providing palliative, respite and end-of-life care to babies and infants aged from birth to five years old suffering from life-limiting or life-threatening conditions. They rely on public support to raise the £1.3 million a year that’s needed to keep the doors open.

Happy to help, we’ve been raising funds in fun ways such as our own Great Arden’s Bake Off, running the Coventry half marathon and supporting the Hospice’s annual fund raising ball.

Our mission is to cultivate a green-acting business, being mindful of our environmental impact and reducing what we use and what we leave behind. The fact is that we’ve come to rely on plastic in all areas of our lives and that includes day-to-day here at Snacks HQ. But thanks to our crack team of eco aficionados encouraging the whole team to be more Polar Bear (Arden code for being green!) we’re already reducing, replacing and removing plastic from a number of areas, with more to come.

When it comes to packaging our munchies, while we’d love to go cold turkey on plastic, at the moment it is often still the best option to protect your snacks and nibbles and make sure they reach you as fresh, crisp and utterly delicious as the day they were baked. We don’t want to compromise the flavour and product quality you have come to expect but that doesn’t mean that we think that it is ok or that we’re not working behind the scenes to find better alternatives. We are committed to changing what we can right now and challenging what we can’t to help the environment stay Never Ordinary for generations to come.
